The total art width should be about 60% to 75% of the furniture width beneath it.

• Above sofas: wider compositions usually look better than single tiny pieces.
• Above beds: center the composition and leave clear breathing space to the headboard.
• Entry consoles: medium-scale pieces work best, often paired with mirrors or lamps.
